Only now in the very first part of the 21th Century are we beginning to see the impact the Social Media   is having on our World.   Social media is a phrase being used quite a bit these days, but it can sometimes be difficult to answer the question of what is social media. Possibility, the best way to define social media is to break it down. Social Media is an instrument on communication, unlike newspapers or a radios, social media would be more than a  social instrument of communication.  It could be an interaction with people communicating on a interpersonal bases.  Would you believe that social media can almost cause an instant action to occur within an individual or a group.  Social Media is like a giant Octopus that can reach info the heart of the interpersonal communications between individual and groups.

With the emergence of Web 2.0, the internet provided a set of tools that allowed people to build a whole new world of social and business connections that could reach next door or around the world.  In Web 2.0 terms, this would be a website that does not just give you information, but interacts with you both giving and receiving information.  This interaction can be as simple as asking for your comments on buying a new car or seeing how open heart surgeon being done and talking to the person that just had the operation two hours ago.

With Social Media I can talk to an interact with a Mass of people all at the same time.  Poss a better way to explain this is through the Shopping Media….  Think about this..What would like to buy?  Any where from a new BMW to Proctor & Gamble’s Charmin toilet paper.  Lets say that you needed information on them, how would you go about obtaining the current information on those items?
